Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment Limited is working with a leading multidisciplinary contractor to appoint an experienced Estimator based from Potters Bar. The role focuses on pricing cladding, façades and external envelope projects from tender stage through to handover.

You will review drawings, carry out detailed take-offs, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, and develop competitive submissions while coordinating with pre-construction and commercial teams to reflect project requirements.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have proven experience as an Estimator in cladding or façades.
• Experience pricing projects from drawings, specs and tender docs.
• Strong understanding of cladding systems and external envelope packages.
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and tenders for cladding and façade packages.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Produce accurate take-offs and pricing.
• Obtain and negotiate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop competitive tender submissions and identify value-engineering opportunities.
• Coordinate with design, commercial and operational teams during pricing.
