Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with a main contracting background to join our growing team and help secure new work. You will manage tenders, produce competitive pricing, obtain subcontractor costs, review BOQs and collaborate with the Director to build the project pipeline and drive growth.

Are you an experienced Estimator or Quantity Surveyor with a main contracting background who is motivated by winning work and producing competitive pricing?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing main contractor at an exciting stage of its development. The business has grown significantly in recent years and is now looking to build the foundations of a strong team to support its next phase of growth.

The company delivers main contracting and refurbishment projects across London and the surrounding areas, with experience across roofing, fireproofing, decorating, carpentry, bricklaying and masonry. The business also carries out a number of installations directly, giving it a hands‑on approach to project delivery.

As Estimator / QS, you will be predominantly office-based and play a key role in securing new work. You will manage tenders, produce competitive pricing, deal with subcontractors and review BOQs, while working closely with the Director to help build the company's growing pipeline.

This role would suit someone with strong main contracting experience who is commercially minded, hungry to win work and wants to play a key role in the growth of a business. As the company continues to develop, there is genuine scope to progress into more senior positions. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow and progress within an ambitious company and team.
