Role

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our operations, carrying out take-offs and tenders for a range of clients. Prior experience in an estimating role, along with familiarity with industry standards, is desired. We value a willingness to learn and build a long-term career.

Full-Time Office-Based Role in Smethwick

Working hours: 7.45 am – 4.30 pm, Monday to Thursday; 3.15 pm on Friday.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Knowledge of Metal Fabrication
• Completion of budgets and full quotations on behalf of our clients
• Understanding of architectural and other specialist drawings, plans, and specifications to provide take-offs and quotations
• Perform accurate project take-offs with precision using measuring tools and software
• Execute estimating tasks with attention to detail
• Handle incoming calls, manage messages, and maintain clear communication
• Work closely with your line Manager
• Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills to present and explain estimates
• Proactively identify cost-saving solutions and value engineering opportunities to enhance competitiveness and profitability
• Keep an updated log of inquiries and prioritize work logically
• Experience with CRM systems preferred

Knowledge of press brakes, guillotine, laser, and turret machinery is advantageous.
