Zusammenfassung

SEDR Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Estimator for land remediation and enabling works in the Midlands or Leeds area. You will prepare detailed estimates across remediation, earthworks and civil works, and work with pre-contract, project managers and engineers to secure projects and ensure a smooth handover to delivery teams.

Responsibilities include take-offs, cost planning, obtaining quotations, site visits, and developing competitive bids while considering environmental and safety requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Estimating experience in land remediation, enabling works or construction.
• Relevant degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts and tendering portals.
• Ability to read drawings, perform take-offs and cost plans.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Proficient in estimating software and MS Office.
• Good numerical skills and commercial judgement.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Aufgaben

• Prepare detailed estimates for bulk excavation, groundworks and remediation.
• Review tender docs, specs and drawings; perform take-offs and cost plans.
• Obtain and assess quotes from suppliers and subs.
• Attend site visits to understand requirements and risks.
• Develop competitive bid proposals meeting client needs.
• Raise tender queries and explain pricing to clients.
• Check estimates for accuracy before submission.
• Handover tender info and risks to delivery teams.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve estimating processes.
