Job summary

Buildforce Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor for drylining and SFS projects in Northampton. You will prepare accurate tenders, review drawings and specs, and collaborate with Tier 1 contractors, clients and suppliers to win work.

Candidates with a strong background in estimating or QS in drylining, fire stopping or related sub-trades are preferred, with a view to moving into a dedicated estimating role within a growing subcontractor.

Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience within construction or specialist subcontracting.
• Ideally experienced in drylining and/or fire stopping.
• Experience working with or tendering to Tier 1 contractors would be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, quantities and tender documentation.
• Commercially astute with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive tenders across specialist projects.
• Collaborate with Tier 1 contractors, clients and suppliers during the tender process.
• Review drawings, specifications and quantities to ensure robust estimates.
