We have an opportunity for a Building Estimator to join our team based in Lympne, Kent.

The role:

• Analyze tender documentation and capture client requirements.
• Produce an accurate BOQ for pricing purposes reflecting client requirements, based on knowledge of CESSM3, Highways Method of Measurement, or SMM7.
• Have clear knowledge of costing traditional and design-build contracts.
• Prepare material and sub-contractor enquiry documents.
• Carry out site visits, gather information, and incorporate findings into tender pricing.
• Assess individual rates and prices, create new ones or incorporate quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Produce accurate and competitive commercial submissions for internal review and approval.
• Have working knowledge of NEC3 and JCT Conditions of Contract, current HSQE legislation, and construction techniques.
• Attend pre and post tender meetings.
• Understand building material components and plant requirements.

You will have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an estimator.
• Experience in commercial/industrial projects.
• Good negotiation, influencing, and communication skills; well-spoken and personable.
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Highly numerate with the ability to manipulate numerical data accurately.
• Confident and resourceful.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Drive a collaborative approach to ensure the best submission.
