We have an opportunity for a Building Estimator to join our team based out of Lympne, Kent.

The role includes:

• Analyzing tender documentation and capturing client requirements.
• Producing an accurate BOQ for pricing, reflecting client needs, based on knowledge of CESSM3, Highways Method of Measurement, or SMM7.
• Understanding costing for traditional, design, and build contracts.
• Preparing material and sub-contractor enquiry documents.
• Conducting site visits and incorporating information into tender pricing.
• Assessing rates, creating new ones, or using quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Preparing competitive and accurate commercial submissions for review and approval.
• Having working knowledge of NEC3 and JCT Contracts, current HSQE legislation, and construction techniques.
• Participating in pre and post tender meetings.
• Understanding building materials and plant requirements.

You will have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an estimator.
• Experience with commercial/industrial projects.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Numeracy skills with the ability to manipulate numerical data accurately.
• Confidence and resourcefulness.
