We are seeking a Building Estimator to join our team based in Lympne, Kent.

The role includes:

• Analyzing tender documentation and capturing client requirements.
• Producing accurate BOQs for pricing, reflecting client needs, using knowledge of CESSM 3, Highways Method of Measurement, or SMM7.
• Costing traditional and design-build contracts.
• Preparing material and sub-contractor enquiry documents.
• Carrying out site visits and incorporating findings into tenders.
• Assessing rates and prices, creating new or inserting quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Preparing competitive commercial submissions for review and approval.
• Understanding NEC3 and JCT Conditions of Contract, HSQE legislation, and construction methods.
• Participating in pre and post tender meetings.
• Knowledge of building materials and plant requirements.

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience as an estimator.
• Experience with commercial/industrial projects.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
• Analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Numeracy skills and ability to manipulate numerical data accurately.
• Confidence and resourcefulness.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
• Collaborative approach to ensure the best submissions.
