We have an opportunity for a Building Estimator to join our team based out of Lympne, Kent.

The role includes:

• Analyzing tender documentation and capturing client requirements.
• Producing accurate BOQs for pricing purposes, reflecting client needs, based on knowledge of CESSM 3, Highways Method of Measurement, or SMM7.
• Having clear knowledge of costing traditional and design-build contracts.
• Preparing material and sub-contractor enquiry documents.
• Carrying out site visits, assimilating information, and considering it in tender pricing.
• Assessing individual rates and prices, creating new or inserting from sub-contract and material quotes.
• Producing accurate and competitive commercial submissions for internal review and approval.
• Possessing working knowledge of NEC3 and JCT Conditions of Contract, current HSQE legislation, and construction techniques.
• Attending pre- and post-tender meetings.
• Understanding building material components and plant requirements.

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an estimator.
• Experience in commercial/industrial projects.
• Good negotiation, influencing, and communication skills; well-spoken and personable.
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Highly numerate with the ability to manipulate numerical information accurately.
• Confident and resourceful.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Actively promote collaboration to ensure the best submission.
