Copperfield Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator / Buyer to join its construction-focused client in Chertsey, Surrey. The role is office-based and hands-on, covering estimating, quotations, sourcing materials and managing purchasing across multiple projects.

You will oversee procurement from initial enquiry through to delivery and completion, coordinating with customers, suppliers and subcontractors to control costs and timelines.

Qualificações

• Experience in estimating and purchasing within construction
• Background in construction, fit-out, refurbishment, interiors, or building products
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Ability to understand drawings and specifications
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Confidence dealing with customers and suppliers
• Good Microsoft Office skills

Estimator / Buyer - Construction

£40,000 - £45,000 based in Chertsey, Surrey

We are looking for an experienced Estimator / Buyer with a construction background to join a well-established and successful business.

This is a hands-on, office-based role responsible for estimating, preparing quotations, sourcing materials and managing purchasing for a range of construction projects.

You will be involved from the initial customer enquiry through to procurement, delivery and completion, working closely with customers, suppliers and contractors.

The ideal candidate

You will have previous experience within construction or a closely related industry, with a strong background in estimating, purchasing or both.

This role would particularly suit someone from a construction, fit-out, refurbishment, interiors, building products or specialist subcontracting background.

You will ideally have:

• Estimating and/or buying experience within construction
• Good commercial and negotiation skills
• Experience dealing with suppliers and subcontractors
• The ability to understand drawings and specifications
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Confidence dealing directly with customers and suppliers
• Good Microsoft Office skills

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
