Job summary

Copperfield Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator / Buyer to join a hands-on, office-based team in Chertsey, Surrey. The role covers estimating, preparing quotations, sourcing materials and managing purchasing for construction projects.

You will drive processes from initial enquiry through procurement, delivery and completion, coordinating with customers, suppliers and contractors to ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Estimating and/or buying experience within construction
• Good commercial and negotiation skills
• Experience dealing with suppliers and subcontractors
• The ability to understand drawings and specifications
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Confidence dealing directly with customers and suppliers
• Good Microsoft Office skills

Estimator / Buyer - Construction
A GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 based in Chertsey, Surrey
We are looking for an experienced Estimator / Buyer with a construction background to join a well-established and successful business.

This is a hands‑on, office‑based role responsible for estimating, preparing quotations, sourcing materials and managing purchasing for a range of construction projects.

You will be involved from the initial customer enquiry through to procurement, delivery and completion, working closely with customers, suppliers and contractors.

The ideal candidate

You will have previous experience within construction or a closely related industry, with a strong background in estimating, purchasing or both.

You will ideally have:

• Strong organisation and attention to detail

This role would particularly suit someone from a construction, fit-out, refurbishment, interiors, building products or specialist subcontracting background.
Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP45,000
