Job summary

Mitchell Maguire in the United Kingdom is seeking an Estimator Bespoke Joinery to handle high-end commercial projects (desks, paneling, furniture, cabinets and surfaces). You will review drawings to produce BOQs and prepare timely quotations for customer deadlines.

You may visit sites across the South East and London, maintain tender documentation, and build relationships with customers, contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Must have Estimating experience within the joinery / bespoke joinery / cabinet maker / bespoke furniture market or closely related sectors.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Highly organised with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and team player.

Responsibilities

• Estimator position dealing with a high end range of bespoke commercial joinery projects (desks, paneling, furniture, cabinets and surfaces).
• May be a requirement to visit sites across the South East & London.
• Review tender enquiries to determine scope of works and project deadlines.
• Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines.
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database.
• Contact customers dealing with queries and providing additional technical information.
• Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers.

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator Bespoke Joinery with

• Must have Estimating experience within the joinery / bespoke joinery / cabinet maker / bespoke furniture market or closely related sectors
• Highly advantageous to have knowledge of Contract Controller
• Great technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Good team player who also works well individually
