Location: Cradley Heath (Primarily office:based with occasional customer visits)

We specialise in the manufacture of over 3,000 components for lifting, lashing, and rigging applications and more. Our products are mainly safety:critical, proven, tested and certified, and used in over 30 industries mainly in the UK.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Technical Sales and Estimating person to join our team. This is a key role focused on retaining and developing our existing customer base while also identifying and winning new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their technical needs and requirements.
  • Specify suitable, often bespoke, engineering solutions.
  • Prepare accurate competitive estimates and quotations on our bespoke software system.
  • Research lead times and negotiate competitive sell prices to secure orders
  • Follow up on quotes and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current clients and actively seek new business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Occasionally visit customers to support project development and relationship building.

What Were Looking For

  • Proven experience in technical sales, estimating, or a similar role within an engineering environment.
  • A strong commercial acumen with a track record of sales success.
  • A technical mindset with the willingness and ability to learn our complex product range.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self:motivated and able to manage your own workload.
  • A team player who works conscientiously and reliably.
  • Competent with standard business software and systems.

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Some knowledge of lifting, lashing, and rigging applications.
  • LEEA qualifications or similar industry certifications would be useful.

Additional Information

Hours

Monday to Thursday: 09:00 : 17:00

Friday: 09:00 : 14:00

Holidays: 36 days (including bank holidays)
