Job summary

Fawkes and Reece are recruiting on behalf of a regional main contractor based in Sheffield for an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team on projects ranging from £500k to £10m. The role covers tendering from enquiry to handover on both D&B and traditional contracts.

You will lead tender presentations, prepare budgets and estimates, ensure processes are followed, and work with surveyors on quantified schedules and BOQs.

Qualifications

• Experienced Estimator with tendering for construction projects.
• Experience on D&B and traditional contracts.
• Ability to prepare cost budgets and estimates.
• Collaborate with surveyors on quantities and rates.

Are you an experienced Estimator looking for a fresh new start or an exciting change with career progression?

Fawkes and Reece are proud to be working with a regional main contractor based in Sheffield recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic construction team. You will be working on projects that would be typically ranging from £500k - £10m in value. You will be responsible to tenders from enquiry to handover within their commercial team working on both D&B and traditional forms of contract.

Duties Include But Are Not limited Too;

• Attend tender presentations for new projects, contribute, lead commercially and present. Prioritisation of all tenders
• Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for contracts.
• Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement.
• Work with surveyors in preparation of quantified schedule of rates and bill of quantities.
• Prepare tender summaries and attend start-up pre-price and price meetings.
• Assist in preparation for settlement meeting enquiries whether risk register, prelims and labour rates have been done.
