Job summary

Fawkes and Reece, a regional main contractor based in Sheffield, is recruiting an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. You will manage tenders from enquiry to handover on projects ranging from £500k to £10m, working on both D&B and traditional forms of contract.

The role requires attending tender presentations, preparing cost budgets and estimates, ensuring compliant estimating processes, and collaborating with surveyors on quantities and rates.

Responsibilities

• Attend tender presentations, contribute, lead commercially and present. Prioritisation of all tenders
• Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for contracts.
• Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement.
• Work with surveyors in preparation of quantified schedule of rates and bill of quantities.
• Prepare tender summaries and attend start-up pre-price and price meetings.
• Assist in preparation for settlement meeting enquiries whether risk register, prelims and labour rates have been done.
