Fawkes & Reece London is a successful family-run business specialising in commercial refurbishment and fit-out of office space. They operate mainly in the Manchester region but deliver projects nationally, offering a supportive environment and clear pathways for progression.

We are seeking an Estimator with around 4–5 years’ experience, ideally from a Fit Out/Refurbishment background, to produce tenders, handle take-offs, prepare cost estimates, and manage supplier enquiries.

• Stable career background as an Estimator.
• 4–5 years’ experience in Fit Out/Refurbishment.
• Experience producing tenders and cost plans.

• Produce accurate tenders and quotations for North West projects.
• Attend site visits and raise queries to clarify requirements.
• Prepare and process quotations, bids and tenders.
• Handle supplier and sub-contractor enquiries.
• Carry out take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractor proposals.
• Assess material, labour and plant requirements.
• Develop and strengthen the regional supply chain.
• Assess commercial and operational risks with tenders.
• Provide guidance to staff and maintain records.

My client are a successful family run business who specialise in the commercial refurbishment and fit out of office space. They have been operating for many decades, operating mainly in the Manchester region but also delivering some projects nationally.

Responsibilities:

• Your will be to undertake the production of accurate tenders and quotations for work across the North West.
• Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your duties will be:Attending site visits and raising queries to clarify project requirements.

• Preparing and processing of quotations, bids and tenders
• Supplier and sub-contractor enquiries
• Carrying out take offs and preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates
• Produce bills of quantities, schedule of work and contractor proposals
• Assess material, labour and plant requirements
• Increase and develop the supply chain at regional offices
• Assess commercial and operational risks with tenders
• Provide guidance to other members of staff
• Maintain accurate company records

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a stable career background as an Estimator, ideally having experience within a Fit Out/Refurbishment environment with around 4-5 years experience.

The company offer a salary of up to £50k (depending on experience) + competitive package and benefits, including working at home on Fridays.
