Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in Salford is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our North West team. You will produce accurate tenders, cost plans and bills of quantities, and support site teams throughout the bid process.

The role involves site visits, supplier enquiries, and developing the supply chain, with a focus on quality, competitiveness, and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Stable career background as an Estimator with 4–5 years of experience in Fit Out/Refurbishment preferred.
• Experience producing accurate tenders, quotations and cost plans.
• Able to raise queries on site visits and manage supplier enquiries.

• Produce accurate tenders and quotations for work across the North West.
• Attend site visits and raise queries to clarify project requirements.
• Prepare and process quotations, bids and tenders.
• Conduct supplier and sub-contractor enquiries.
• Carry out take-offs and prepare cost estimates.
• Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractor proposals.
• Assess material, labour and plant requirements.
• Develop the supply chain at regional offices.
• Assess commercial and operational risks with tenders.
• Provide guidance to other staff and maintain records.

Responsibilities:

Your will be to undertake the production of accurate tenders and quotations for work across the North West.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your duties will be:Attending site visits and raising queries to clarify project requirements.

• Increase and develop the supply chain at regional offices
• Assess commercial and operational risks with tenders
• Provide guidance to other members of staff
• Maintain accurate company records

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a stable career background as an Estimator, ideally having experience within a Fit Out/Refurbishment environment with around 4-5 years experience.

The company offer a salary of up to £50k (depending on experience) + competitive package and benefits, including working at home on Fridays.
