Kingston Barnes Ltd in Bristol is seeking an Estimator to lead pre-construction activity for new build and refurbishment projects ranging from £500k to £12m. The role involves preparing competitive tenders and cost plans and coordinating with design and delivery teams.

You will manage supply chain input, benchmark market rates, engage subcontractors and ensure bids are well-presented, commercially sound, and aligned with client expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience.
• Expertise in pricing tenders across contract types (D&B, traditional, two-stage).
• Excellent understanding of current market rates, subcontractor engagement, and cost planning.
• Commercially savvy with a strategic mindset.
• Clear communicator who collaborates across functions and drives success.

Salary: £50,000 £60,000 + Excellent Package + Bonus

We re supporting a respected and well-established main contractor based in Bristol as they continue to grow their reputation for delivering high-quality, design-led construction projects. They are looking to appoint an Estimator to take a leading role in securing a robust pipeline of new build and refurbishment projects ranging from £500k to £12m.

The Role

You Ll play a key part in the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing competitive and accurate tenders and cost plans. From frameworks to negotiated D&B projects, you Ll liaise closely with the design and delivery teams, manage supply chain input, and ensure bids are commercially sound, well-presented, and aligned with client expectations.
