Job summary

NE&C Windows and Doors is recruiting an Estimator to support bespoke commercial projects produced in a modern Washington factory. You will review plans, perform take-offs and prepare tenders, quotations and costings for varied projects involving aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling.

The role requires previous estimating experience and strong client/supplier communication skills. You will use Logikal and Excel pricing schedules and collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and secure

Responsibilities

• Review Plans and Specifications: Assess building plans, specifications and tender information
• Measure and Quantify Take-Offs: Complete accurate measurements and take-offs across multiple projects
• Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Compile quotes, tenders, variations and supporting submission documents
• Produce Accurate Costings: Complete timely project costings and ensure submissions are commercially accurate
• Check Specification Compliance: Ensure completed quotations meet relevant specifications and design briefs
• Use Estimating Systems: Raise quotations using IT systems including Logikal and in-house Excel pricing schedules
• Liaise with Clients and Suppliers: Gather information and support the preparation of tenders, quotations and variations
• Manage Sales Communication: Communicate by phone, email and web-based portals
• Coordinate with the Team: Work closely with colleagues to meet quotas and deadlines
• Build Client Relationships: Develop positive client relationships throughout the estimating process
• Follow Up and Negotiate: Follow up estimates, negotiate and support the securing of orders

SALARY

£35,000 to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits

JOB OVERVIEW

This is an opportunity to join a growing business with a strong focus on quality workmanship, bespoke solutions and collaborative project delivery. The Estimator will support varied commercial work for contractors and organisations, reviewing plans, specifications and take-offs while preparing accurate tenders and quotations. The Estimator will work with clients, suppliers and colleagues to keep submissions accurate and on schedule. With aluminium products manufactured using modern CNC machinery, the Estimator will contribute to projects spanning windows, doors and curtain walling while following up quotations, negotiating and helping secure orders.
