Job summary

Contract Scotland is seeking an Estimator to Senior Estimator to join its commercial team on a permanent basis. Based in the West, you will prepare accurate tenders across a range of construction projects, working closely with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

You will review drawings and specifications, perform take-offs, cost analyses and produce competitive submissions while developing pricing strategies and maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience within the construction/building sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and costs.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Experience producing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiations skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed estimates and tenders from drawings, specifications and other project information.
• Review tender documentation and identify risks, opportunities and value-engineering options.
• Obtaining and assessing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Completing detailed take-offs and cost analysis.
• Preparing competitive and accurate tender submissions.
• Liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Supporting the commercial team with pricing strategies and cost planning.
• Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
• Contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

An established and growing construction business is looking to appoint an Estimator/SeniorEstimator to join its team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator looking to take the next step in their career, or a Senior Estimator seeking a new challenge within a progressive construction environment.

TheRole

Working as part of the commercial team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of construction projects. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure projects are accurately priced and commercially viable.

Your responsibilities will include:

About You

You will ideally have:
