Job summary

Randstad CPE in the UK is seeking a commercially minded Estimator to join the pre-construction team covering Hampshire and the South Coast. You will drive tenders from initial receipt through to submission and handover, ensuring value and competitive proposals.

The role requires proven Estimator experience with a UK main contractor, pricing on £1m-£15m+ projects, and proficiency in Conquest/Causeway and Excel. A HNC/HND or QS/Construction Management degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documents, drawings and specs to understand scope and risk
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for two-stage, single-stage and framework tenders
• Issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate quotations for value and compliance
• Lead mid-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, design teams and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with bid management and planning teams to craft competitive, high-value proposals

The Role

They are seeking a commercially minded Estimator to join the pre-construction team. You will play a pivotal role in securing new business, taking tenders from initial receipt through to formal submission and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze tender documentation, design drawings, and specifications to understand scope and risk.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and net budgets for two-stage, single-stage, and framework tenders.
• Issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating incoming quotations for value and compliance.
• Lead mid-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Work alongside bid management and planning teams to craft competitive, high-value proposals.
