Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is recruiting an Estimator to join a regional main contractor near Winchester. You will handle tenders up to 5 million, perform take-offs, and collaborate with bid teams, reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator/Assistant Estimator in a main contractor.
• Experience with single and two-stage tender routes.
• Familiar with JCT and NEC contract forms.
• Must have full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Estimator

We have an excellent opportunity for an Estimator to join a highly regarded regional main contractor based just outside of Winchester. The business is family owned, and operates out of several regional offices across the South of England. They are in a strong cash position, and have built an excellent reputation in the region. They operate across several key construction sectors including education, commercial, healthcare and industrial valuing up to 15mil.

As a result of continued growth in the region, they're now looking to expand the estimating team with an additional Estimator.

About the role of Estimator:

As Estimator, you will be responsible for working on tenders typically valuing up to 5mil. You will be working closely with the Bid teams and reporting into the Pre-Construction Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Estimator:

• Work on tenders valuing up to 5mil
• Do your own take-offs and measurements
• Work collaboratively with the bid teams

Key Requirements as Estimator:

• Held an Estimator / Assistant Estimator position within a main contractor
• Have experience with both single and two-stage routes
• Have experience with JCT and NEC contract forms
• Live within commutable distance to Winchester and be happy to travel there / to site as required
• MUST have the full right to work in the UK
