Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an Estimator to join a renowned main contractor on the South Coast, near Bournemouth. The role involves pricing projects up to £25 million, tendering accurately and mentoring junior members of the pre-construction team.

You will report to the Pre-Construction Manager and work with the bid team, with travel to Dorset as required. A strong background with main contractor tenders and JCT/NEC forms is essential, along with the right to work in the UK.

• Experience as Estimator/Assistant Estimator in a main contractor.
• Experience with single and two-stage tender routes.
• Experience with JCT and NEC contract forms.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for an Estimator to join a renowned main contractor based near Bournemouth. The business operates out of their South Coast office and continues to be one of the most reputable main contractors in the region. They undertake projects which are typically across the commercial, education, healthcare and residential sectors valuing up to £25mil. As a result of continued growth in the region, they're now looking to bring an additional Estimator into the pre-construction team.

About the role of Estimator:

As Estimator, you will be involved in projects from initial conception, managing the pricing process to ensure projects are tendered accurately. You will be reporting into the Pre-Construction Manager and will be tasked with the mentoring of junior members of staff.

Key Responsibilities as Estimator:

• Manage tenders valuing up to £25mil
• Work collaboratively with the bid team
• Mentoring junior members of the pre-construction team

Key Requirements as Estimator:

• Held an Estimator / Assistant Estimator position within a main contractor
• Have experience with both single and two-stage routes
• Have experience with JCT and NEC contract forms
• Live within commutable distance to Dorset and be happy to travel there / to site as required
• MUST have the full right to work in the UK
