Job summary

Fawkes and Reece is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its pre-construction team in Oxford. You will drive tender prices from concept through to submission, ensuring accurate risk and cost assessment for projects up to £15 million.

Based in Oxford with travel to sites as required, you will work closely with the bid team and mentor junior staff, supporting the company’s growing regional portfolio across education, life sciences, healthcare and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience as Estimator / Assistant Estimator in a main contractor
• Experience with single and two-stage tender routes
• Familiar with JCT and NEC contract forms
• Willing to travel to Oxford and surrounding sites
• Must have the right to work in the UK

We have an excellent opportunity for an Estimator to join a renowned main contractor based in Oxford. The business operates out of several offices across the South of England and continues to be one of the most reputable main contractors in the region. They undertake projects which are typically across the education, life sciences, healthcare and commercial sectors valuing up to £15mil.

As a result of continued growth in the region, they're now looking to bring an additional Estimator into the pre-construction team.

About the role of Estimator:

As Estimator, you will be involved in projects from initial conception, managing the pricing process to ensure projects are tendered accurately. You will be working closely within the work-winning team.

• Manage tenders valuing up to £15mil
• Work collaboratively with the bid teams
• Mentoring junior members of the team

Key Requirements as Estimator:

• Held an Estimator / Assistant Estimator position within a main contractor
• Have experience with both single and two-stage routes
• Have experience with JCT and NEC contract forms
• Live within commutable distance to Oxford and be happy to travel there / to site as required
• Must have the full right to work in the UK
