Job summary

Matchtech is assisting a client in finding a Senior Estates Surveyor on a contract basis to support the Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management team for a major flood defence project. The role will lead the estates workstream for the Poole Bridge to Hunger Hill Flood Defence Project, providing professional oversight and advice throughout delivery.

The position requires significant estate management and surveying experience, with strong knowledge of landlord and tenant law and property

Qualifications

• Extensive estate management and surveying experience in public sector or infrastructure settings.
• Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant law and property acquisition.
• Ability to review and sign-off estate-related documents and Heads of Terms.
• Experience managing relationships with land agents and legal advisers.

Responsibilities

• Lead estates workstream on a major flood defence and coastal erosion project.
• Review and sign off documentation with the Council's Estates team.
• Provide professional advice on estate management and landlord/tenant matters.
• Review Heads of Terms and other estate-related agreements.
• Monitor delivery by commercial land agents and legal advisers.
• Protect Council interests when engaging landowners and project partners.
• Collaborate with Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management team and other specialists.
• Support successful delivery of the flood defence scheme through land management and stakeholder engagement.
