Job summary
Solution Search Limited - Civils & Rail seeks an experienced Project Manager to support ECI, planning and pre-construction on Environment Agency flood defence schemes in Birmingham and Gloucester. You will liaise between client, designers, consultants, and subcontractors to develop projects through ECI to delivery.
The role requires an HNC in Civil Engineering, SMSTS and CSCS, and EA/Water/Heavy Civils experience with Main Contractors.
Qualifications
- Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering.
- SMSTS and CSCS certification.
- EA or Water/Heavy Civils experience with Main Contractors.
- Willingness to travel to sites as required.
Responsibilities
- Review requirements, scope, and specifications for the project.
- Develop pre-construction programme and key decision dates.
- Coordinate design development and identify information needs.
- Review buildability and propose alternative construction methods.
- Identify and manage early-stage risks, constraints and opportunities.
- Develop preliminary construction methodologies.
- Input into cost planning, procurement, and programme development.
- Lead/coordinate early contractor input into design workshops.
- Develop construction and logistics strategies.
- Plan site establishment requirements.
- Maintain the pre-construction risk and opportunity register.
- Challenge designs to improve safety, speed, or practicality.
