Job summary

Boden Group is seeking an Estates Technical Manager in Buckinghamshire to oversee technical facilities management for a healthcare estate. You will lead a team, ensure safe and reliable building services, and drive service improvements while managing risk and budgets.

The role focuses on planned maintenance, stakeholder engagement and continuous estate performance, reporting to healthcare stakeholders and working with third-party providers in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• HNC or HND or equivalent qualification.
• IOSH Managing Safely or higher health and safety qualification.
• Experience as an Authorised Person.
• Strong knowledge of building services and healthcare estates.
• Experience leading teams and managing performance.
• Experience managing budgets and complex stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical estates and hard facilities management services.

• Manage the annual PPM schedule for engineering systems and critical infrastructure.
• Oversee operational risks, asset replacement programmes and maintenance activities.

Job description

The Estates Technical Manager in Buckinghamshire will oversee technical facilities management across a healthcare estate, keeping building services, plant and infrastructure safe and operational. The role combines team leadership with responsibility for planned maintenance, operational risk and service improvement.

The Role

• Lead day-to-day technical estates and hard facilities management services.
• Maintain health, safety, statutory and contractual compliance.
• Manage the annual planned preventative maintenance schedule for engineering systems and critical infrastructure.
• Oversee operational risks, asset replacement programmes and maintenance activities.
• Build relationships with healthcare stakeholders, colleagues and third-party providers.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and costs while identifying service improvements.

About You

• An HNC, HND or equivalent relevant qualification, or substantial industry experience.
• IOSH Managing Safely or a higher health and safety qualification.
• Previous experience as an Authorised Person.
• Strong knowledge of building services, healthcare estates and Health Technical Memoranda.
• Experience leading teams and managing performance.
• Experience managing budgets, service improvements and complex stakeholder relationships.
