Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced engineer to support our Estates Department in Leeds. You will work on day-to-day operations of our Computer-Aided Facility Management system, lead maintenance activities both in-house and with external contractors, and ensure safe systems of work in line with HTMs and codes of practice.

Job responsibilities

We're looking for someone with specialist knowledge in electrical and mechanical engineering, who wants to make a genuine difference to our Estates Department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. In this rewarding and entrusted position, you will need good IT skills, be responsible for assigning maintenance work and undertaking day-to-day operation of our Computer-Aided Facility Management system. The role is focussed on managing the in-house maintenance team & external contractors day to day maintenance, both PPM and reactive. You will be working with a huge range of colleagues, including clinical staff, to support them in delivering excellent patient care, so strong communication skills are essential. Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is a large organisation with a huge portfolio of property, equipment, and systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on a varied role, be responsible for ensuring safe systems of work are maintained in line with HTM's and recognised codes of practice by carrying out Authorised Person duties.
