University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Leader to drive an estates maintenance and installation service across the trust. You will lead the operational mechanical engineering team, develop standardised practices, and ensure high standards of compliant, customer-focused maintenance.
The role requires strategic oversight of mechanical plant, guidance on project delivery, and collaboration with hospital services.
You will be part of the team who are responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive maintenance and installation service across the Trust’s estates, which will be responsive, efficient, financially effective and to a high standard.

Reporting into the Mechanical Estates Operations Manager the post-holder is responsible for providing leadership to the operational mechanical engineering team, the development of standardised practices and processes within their area of responsibility (trade group) and to support the delivery of modern maintenance services meeting compliant standards within a customer care focused environment
The post-holder will provide specialist leadership, advice and support on mechanical plant within the Trust
