Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking an Estates Officer to cover NHSH in Lochaber. The role requires enthusiasm and the ability to react quickly to breakdowns, manage small projects, and coordinate contractors or in-house trades teams to carry out maintenance safely.

The post is primarily based at Belford Hospital, Fort William, with travel to NHSH sites as required. It offers pension benefits, enhanced pay for on-call and after-hours work, and development opportunities within an NHS environment.

At NHS Highland we have a full-time vacancy within our Estates Department for an Estates Officer to cover NHSH in Lochaber.

The successful candidateshould be enthusiastic and motivatedandbe able to react and think quickly on how to deal with breakdowns within the NHSH estate, manage small scale projects and efficiently arrange for contractors or in house trades teams to carry out maintenance work safely.

The post is primarily based at Belford Hospital, Fort William at the moment, there will be a requirement to travel to sites all over NHSH.

Theposition will requireeffective management and prioritisation tocontribute to the provision of excellent patient care.

What we are looking for

A flexible approach to work is essential as variations to the standard working week may be necessaryand willing to participate in the 1:6 on-call rota.
