Job summary

Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services Ltd is recruiting an Estates Operations Officer (Mechanical) to oversee mechanical disciplines for the hospital estates and external clients. You will join a small engineering team and work under the Estates Operations Manager (Mechanical), ensuring on-call readiness and high service standards.

Required experience in NHS estates, mechanical systems, and competent use of CAD/CAFM tools, with strong customer service and team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with commercial heating, plumbing and ventilation maintenance and installation.
• Experience in NHS estates mechanical engineering functions and compliant asset management.
• Experience as an Authorised Person in multiple mechanical areas.
• Knowledge of Healthcare Technical Memorandums and Building Notes.
• Proficient in CAD drawings and CAFM software.

Responsibilities

• Manage key mechanical disciplines for the operational estates service.
• Work within a mechanical team of engineers under the Estates Operations Manager (Mechanical).
• Contribute to on-call rota with additional payments as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with statutory mechanical installation requirements.
• Adapt to changing priorities and maintain high levels of customer service.
