NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a highly experienced Estates professional to join the Estates Department in Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Greenock. The role focuses on safe operation, maintenance and statutory compliance across a wide range of building services and systems.
You will lead in Authorised Person responsibilities, manage capital and minor works, and participate in an on-call rota to support NHS services.

You will join a team of Estates Managers who are professionally responsible for meeting the organisation's key objectives, for the delivery of Patient Care by the provision of effective, efficient, and safe Operation & Maintenance of Estates Services, Systems and Budgetary Resources, Compliance with Statutory Requirements & Mandatory NHS Healthcare Standards & Guidelines, and for the day-to-day operational activities of the Estates Department. Specialist Technical Knowledge for ‘Authorised Person’ responsibilities, responsible for Statutory & Mandatory Services such as Medical Gas Pipe Systems, Pressure Systems, Water Systems, Ventilation Systems, High & Low Voltage Electrical Systems, Fire Compliance, Management of Asbestos, Passenger Lifts and Patient Lifting Aids. You must have in-depth knowledge of Building Construction and Maintenance. Appointed Authorised Person for Water Safety Compliance overseeing Authorising Engineer Audit Recommendations. Management of FM First PPM & Reactive Maintenance, ensuring delivery of Statutory Compliance and Repairs. Management and participation in Capital and Minor Works Projects from concept to completion, including Survey and Preparation of Contract Documents, Procurement, Cost Control, ensuring Compliance with relevant Standards and Current Guidance.
All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
