Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and reliable Estates Maintenance Person (Grounds) to join our Estates and Facilities team.

To work both an individual and as part of a team in grounds services in both new and existing properties as a Grounds Maintenance Person. This will involve working in a wide range of healthcare and associated premises throughout the Trust’s geographical area and therefore flexibility and an ability to work on your own initiative are important.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Trust's grounds and external environment to a high standard, ensuring that our hospital sites remain safe, attractive and welcoming for patients, visitors and staff. Duties will include grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting, litter collection, weed control, maintenance of paths and external areas, and assisting with seasonal grounds maintenance activities.

Applicants should have experience of grounds maintenance, horticultural or landscaping work, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a practical approach to problem solving. Knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe working practices is essential.
