Job summary

The National Oceanography Centre in Liverpool is recruiting an Estates Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to join the Estates Department and maintain our Liverpool site. You will work on a wide range of building services including LV electrical systems, BMS, fire alarms, HVAC and pumps.

You will contribute to planned and reactive maintenance, with an on-call rota of 1 week in every 4, and you should hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical or electrical

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical
• Experience in a building services environment
• Experience with electrical or mechanical building services systems
• Ability to fault-find and work independently or in a team

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve Liverpool site facilities
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
• Operate and support building management systems (BMS), HVAC equipment, pumps and related services
• Participate in an on-call rota (1 week in 4) for out-of-hours support
