We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work on a permanent basis near Speke, Liverpool.
Our client is seeking someone with an Electrical Bias.
Working days - Monday to Friday.
Salary is c£45-50,000 per annum plus 23 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension etc
Duties for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer/ Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
- Install, commission and maintain a range of mechanical and electrical plant and equipment.
- Carry out routine inspections, testing and maintenance to ensure machinery remains safe and operational.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly and effectively, with a focus on achieving a first-time fix wherever possible.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance activities in line with scheduled requirements.
- Record maintenance activity, breakdowns, plant stoppages and relevant engineering information accurately using the site’s maintenance management system.
- Identify required replacement parts and raise requests as necessary to support maintenance activities.
- Provide clear and effective handovers, ensuring outstanding issues and important plant information are communicated between shifts.
- Work closely with production and other departments to resolve engineering and operational issues.
- Support emergency response activities when required.
- Demonstrate flexibility around working hours where necessary to respond to significant plant or operational issues.

About the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer/ Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
- A recognised mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualification, ideally gained through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent recognised training.
- At least 4 years' experience in a comparable multi-skilled maintenance engineering position.
- Good practical experience across both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Ability to fault-find effectively and diagnose problems in a production/industrial environment.
- Additional relevant certifications where required for specific maintenance activities.
- FLT and/or MEWP licences would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and effective when working under pressure.
- A proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on reliability, safety and minimising production downtime.
- A strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards, including the correct use of PPE and adherence to site procedures.
- Flexibility to support the business during periods of increased operational demand or emergency situations.
