Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Campus Estates and Health & Safety Manager.
  • Supervise onsite Estates staff and contractors.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness across campus facilities.

Salary: Up to £29,746 per annum

Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

This is a Permanent, 37 hours per week vacancy that will close in 12 days at 23:59 BST.

Duties

  • Assist the Campus Estates and Health & Safety Manager in providing an effective facilities and maintenance service.
  • Deputise for the Campus Estates and Health & Safety Manager as required.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for staff, learners, customers and visitors to the College.
  • Supervise and Cover onsite Estates staff and supervise contractors as required.

Skills/Experience

  • Experience of maintenance and facilities operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety
  • Experience of managing and supervising other staff
  • Experience of dealing with suppliers and service providers

Qualifications

  • GCSE Math’s and English - Grade C and above
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Management or supervisory and Leadership skills qualification
  • Facilities and/or maintenance trade qualification desirable
