Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Estates Manager to lead the electrical estates team across multiple sites. You will manage planned maintenance, compliance, capital projects, and energy management while ensuring safe systems and statutory requirements.

You will supervise staff and contractors, drive service improvements, oversee budgets, and provide expert Estates advice to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified in an Electrical related discipline
• Degree in an Estate related subject or equivalent experience
• City and Guilds NVQ 3
• Experience in leading estates teams in a healthcare environment
• Knowledge of HTMs, HBNs and NHS estate standards

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and develop a building services and engineering Planned Preventative Maintenance and Repair system across the Trust.
• Act as authorised person for low voltage (LV) systems and ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations.
• Supervise and monitor performance of delegated staff and contractors.
• Develop and implement energy conservation strategies and manage Building Management Systems.
• Project manage minor capital projects and support business cases for capital schemes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety, infection control and security across estates.
