Job summary

VANRATH is assisting a large Public Sector Organisation in Armagh to appoint a Condition Surveyor for an initial 6-month contract, with potential extension or permanency.

You will undertake comprehensive surveys of client properties across Northern Ireland, producing accurate condition assessments to support estate management, planned maintenance and asset investment.

The role requires relevant Building Surveying qualification, survey experience, and the ability to travel across NI.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification in Building Surveying, Building Studies, Construction or a related discipline.
• Experience undertaking building condition surveys.
• Knowledge of construction methods, building defects and maintenance requirements.
• Experience inspecting a range of building types.
• Ability to produce accurate technical reports and condition assessments.
• Good knowledge of health and safety requirements within a construction/property environment.
• Ability to prioritise defects and maintenance requirements.
• Good IT and data-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a programme of surveys across multiple locations.
• Full driving licence and ability to travel throughout Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive condition surveys of Client properties and external areas throughout Northern Ireland.
• Provide professional surveying advice to support estate management, planned maintenance and capital investment programmes.
• Ensure reliable condition information to prioritise works and allocate resources.
• Inspect schools and other Client properties internally and externally.
• Assess building fabric, envelope elements and site infrastructure.
• Identify defects and areas requiring repair, replacement or further investigation.
