Job summary

VANRATH is recruiting an Estate Manager (Public Sector) on a 6-month assignment with possible extension, based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. You will lead estate and asset management across properties, delivering maintenance and strategic improvement in line with the authority's objectives.

The role requires a degree or equivalent qualification, plus several years in asset management, and a current UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree or NVQ4 in Estate/Asset Management, Engineering, Construction or equivalent.
• Minimum three years post-qualification experience in asset management.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a car or equivalent transport.
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, Health and Safety regulations pertaining to built environment.
• Working knowledge of energy and building management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, co-ordinate and control a comprehensive range of Company property and building maintenance from inception to completion as per the Estates Strategy, Condition and Energy programmes.
• Develop and implement a Corporate Landlord Asset Management Model to maximise income and benefits from assets.
• Introduce robust asset management hardware and software solutions.
• Advise on property acquisitions, disposals, leasing and licensing; prepare associated documentation.
• Carry out site/building/asset surveys, budget estimates, economic appraisals/business cases.
• Prepare works plans and maintenance contracts; evaluate tenders; supervise works to meet quality, time and budget; certify payments.
• Provide procurement strategy advice to council departments; review consultant-led projects; identify collaborative procurement opportunities.
• Oversee landfill site Closure Plans including ongoing monitoring; gain OCS accreditation for Closed Landfill Site Management.
