Reed is seeking a part-time Caretaker in Wymondham, Norfolk to join the Estates Team. The role focuses on building maintenance, safety compliance, and event setup. A current driving licence and reliability are essential, with a pro rata salary based on experience.

The position involves securing facilities, basic repairs, and keeping areas clean, with duties including driving college vehicles as needed. Benefits include a pension, holidays, and non-contractual perks.

Qualifications

• A good level of literacy and numeracy.
• A current, clean driving licence.
• Sound track record in construction or maintenance.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high standards.
• Experience in caretaking or maintenance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out building maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, and new work as needed.
• Manage basic plumbing tasks, electrical consumables replacements, and attend to faults, repairs, and breakdowns.
• Ensure the security of buildings by locking/unlocking facilities and managing anti-intruder alarms.
• Set up for college events and prepare rooms or marquees as required.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the estate, including cleaning gullies, gutters, and drains, and managing refuse removal.
• Drive college vehicles as required for various tasks and maintain them.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and report any breaches.
