Job summary

Learning Academies Trust is seeking an Estates Administrator in Plymouth to join the central Estates team. The role supports compliance, maintenance, health and safety, sustainability, and capital projects, coordinating with schools and contractors to keep learning environments safe and fit for purpose.

The successful candidate will handle meetings, records, and reporting, and contribute to procurement and improvement works across the Trust.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience in a busy administrative environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and accurate records.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Estates Manager and Estates team.
  • Maintain accurate estates, facilities, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate meetings, manage shared inboxes, and track actions.
  • Monitor compliance schedules and support audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate maintenance works and liaise with contractors and school staff.
  • Maintain estates management systems and produce reports to support decision making.
  • Assist with sustainability initiatives and Climate Action plans.
  • Support procurement activities, capital projects, and condition improvement works.

Are you an organised and proactive administrator looking for a varied role where you can make a real difference? We are seeking an Estates Administrator to join our central Estates team and play a key role in supporting the effective management of our school estates.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential administrative support across compliance, maintenance, health and safety, sustainability, and capital projects. The successful candidate will work closely with estates colleagues, schools and contractors to help ensure our learning environments remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.

As Estates Administrator, you will:
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Estates Manager and wider Estates team.
  • Maintain accurate estates, facilities, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate meetings, manage shared inboxes, and track actions.
  • Monitor compliance schedules and support audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate maintenance works and liaise with contractors and school staff.
  • Maintain estates management systems and produce reports to support decision making.
  • Assist with sustainability initiatives, including maintaining Climate Action and Sustainability Plans.
  • Support procurement activities, capital projects, and condition improvement works across the Trust.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has recent experience in a busy administrative environment.
  • Has excellent organisational skills and can manage competing priorities.
  • Is highly detail-focused and able to maintain accurate records and data.
  • Has strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
  • Can build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Is able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Holds GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent).

Experience within estates, facilities, property management, compliance administration, or the education sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
