The Dean Trust is seeking an experienced Estates Manager to take operational responsibility for safe, compliant, well-maintained school environments across Lord Derby Academy and partner sites. The role involves managing maintenance, security and facilities across multiple campuses, with a focus on high standards and proactive service delivery.
The successful candidate will lead site teams, work with contractors and academy leaders, and travel between trust sites.
Salary: £37,280 - £39,152 per annum FTE (Pay Award Pending)
Contract: Permanent, full-time (Monday-Friday on a Rota Basis
Location: Candidates' main office base will be at Lord Derby Academy. Regular travel between all Trust sites will be required as part of the role.

We are looking for an experienced Estates Manager to take operational responsibility for ensuring our school environments are safe, compliant, well maintained, and fit for purpose across Park View Academy, Blacklow Brow Primary School, and the Lord Derby Academy Hub in Huyton.
This is a critical role within The Dean Trust, providing strategic and operational leadership across multiple sites. You will oversee the day-to-day delivery of estates services, including planned and reactive maintenance, health and safety compliance, statutory testing, site security, and the effective management of premises and facilities.
At Lord Derby Academy, the main secondary school building operates under a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) arrangement. The successful candidate will, however, retain direct responsibility for the Trust-owned LDA Hub, ensuring that its maintenance, compliance, security, and day-to-day operation are managed to the same high standards as our primary academy sites.
Reporting to the Head of Estates Operations, you will lead and support dedicated site teams across these locations, ensuring consistent standards, effective communication, and a responsive estates service. You will work closely with academy leaders, contractors, and Trust colleagues to identify priorities, resolve issues, and continuously improve our estates provision.
