Job summary

PJ Care Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking an Estates Team Member Maintenance who can drive. You will support maintenance and repair of care home properties, liaise with contractors on site, manage lighting, decor and waste handling, and join the on-call rota for out-of-hours maintenance.

The role requires a full UK driving license, a valid DBS check, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. 40 hours/week, £12.71–£13.21 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide general assistance in repair and maintenance of PJ Care property.
• Liaise with contractors on site.
• Regularly check and maintain interior lighting, replacing bulbs and lamps.
• Complete maintenance tasks and maintenance job sheets promptly.
• Obtain Purchase Orders for purchases from nominated suppliers.
• Maintain furniture and carry out repairs as required.
• redecorate interiors to keep them bright and fresh.
• Maintain all mechanical and manual equipment for maintenance units.
• Maintain and empty waste compactor and prepare bins for collection.
• Be part of the on-call rota for out-of-hours maintenance.
• Drive license and ability to drive is required

JOB TITLE: Estates Team Member Maintenance

RESPONSIBLE T0: Estates Manager

LOCATION: Milton Keynes

TERMS Full time- 40 hours per week

RATE £12.71 - £13.21 per hour depending on experience

Key Areas of Responsibility

• To provide general assistance in the repair and maintenance of PJ Care property as required.
• To liaise with contractors on site.
• To regularly check and maintain all interior lighting replacing bulbs and lamps as required.
• To complete all tasks on the maintenance job sheets and complete within a timely fashion.
• To obtain Purchase Orders for any purchases from a nominated supplier
• To maintain all furniture, carrying out repairs as required.
• To redecorate where necessary to keep the interiors bright and fresh.
• To maintain in clean and serviceable condition all mechanical and manual equipment provided for the maintenance of the units.
• To maintain and regularly empty any waste compactor and prepare waste bins for collection.
• The right candidate is required to be part of the oncall rota to provide out of hours maintenance.
