Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking an Estate Services Operative (Cleaning) in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire. This temporary, part-time role offers 25 hours per week with shifts 7:00am-12:00pm or 8:00am-1:00pm.

The pay rate is £13.92 per hour, with DBS required, and contract dates from 24 August 2026 to 15 November 2026. Responsibilities include cleaning communal areas, maintaining safety and COSHH compliance, and assisting with basic duties across two sites.

Qualifications

• Essential: previous cleaning/estate services experience.
• Essential: ability to work indoors and outdoors.
• Basic numeracy and literacy.
• Basic DBS required.

Responsibilities

• Clean communal areas to a high standard (lifts, stairwells, floors, walls, windows).
• Keep refuse areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Carry out litter picking and remove bulk rubbish and fly tipping.
• Handle cleaning materials and equipment safely per health and safety requirements.
• Use PPE and cleaning machinery correctly and report faults/incidents.
• Follow risk assessments, COSHH and other health and safety procedures.
• Assist with snow clearance, gritting and minor repairs in communal areas when required.
• Manage and report cleaning materials and equipment.
• Use scheduling software to record daily activities.
• Carry out other reasonable duties as directed.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience in a cleaning, estate services or similar role.

• Experience using cleaning machinery and equipment.

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.

• Physically able to carry out manual duties.

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

• Basic DBS required.

Desirable:

• NVQ or equivalent qualification in Cleaning or Environmental Services.

• Willingness to obtain a relevant qualification during the assignment.

This is a hands-on role and would suit someone who is reliable, practical and comfortable working across different sites.
