Job summary

Dacorum Borough Council is looking for reliable, motivated Mobile Cleaners to join our Estate Services Team. You’ll work across housing estates and supported housing schemes, delivering routine and specialist cleaning to maintain clean, safe, welcoming environments for residents and visitors.

You will drive between sites, carry out vehicle checks, and report health and safety concerns. The role requires a valid UK driving licence and a satisfactory Basic DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, estate services, facilities management or a similar frontline service.
• Able to work independently and manage workload across multiple locations.
• Strong understanding of safe working practices and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine and specialist cleaning services across multiple sites.
• Carry out communal area cleaning in housing estates and supported housing schemes.
• Undertake specialist cleaning tasks where trained (e.g., window, carpet, graffiti removal).
• Support void clearance and specialist cleaning activity.
• Drive Council vehicles and transport equipment between sites.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and maintain vehicles.
• Identify and report issues affecting residents or service delivery.
• Work independently across multiple locations with high standards of customer service.
