Job summary

The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle is seeking a Maintenance Operative/Technician to join our Property & Maintenance team. You’ll contribute to the upkeep of one of Scotland’s remarkable private estates across a 9,000-acre site.

Joined by a skilled team, you’ll perform both planned and reactive maintenance, work with contractors, and help maintain high standards for members and guests. A 4-day week and on-call duties form part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance or a trade/construction environment.
• Broad range of practical maintenance skills.
• Good understanding of health & safety.
• Basic IT skills for recording work and reporting issues.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• First Aid training would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the property, ensuring facilities, equipment and guest areas are maintained to a high standard.
• Respond to maintenance requests, investigate faults and contact Contractors when required.
• Work closely with the Property Supervisor to prioritise and organise work.
• Support departments across the estate while minimising disruption to members and guests.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external contractors to deliver high-quality results.
• Take part in a rota for on-call support to respond to urgent maintenance issues.
• Follow health & safety, COSHH, fire safety and company procedures at all times.
