Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Worker to maintain the estate grounds in Lancashire. The role is non-operational with no supervisory duties but involves supervising prisoner work groups until tasks are completed.

You will perform turf laying, landscaping, and grounds upkeep, including lawns, ponds, and external areas, while following safety procedures and local plans. DBS verification and photo ID are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and landscaping.
• Ability to manage performance in external grounds and sports fields.
• Knowledge of safety and health regulations in outdoor work.
• Experience supervising groups of workers or volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out soft landscaping and hard landscaping on estate grounds.
• Maintain lawns, ponds, water features and external grounds.
• Mow and cut areas; maintain sports fields per plan.
• Provide safe access and supervise prisoner work groups.
• Undertake small projects and maintenance tasks as requested.
• Drive estates vehicles and operate plant equipment.
• Comply with Health and Safety policies and security procedures.
