Job summary

Delta Housing is seeking an Estate Assistant – Cleaning to deliver scheduled and responsive cleaning across communal, internal and external estate areas. This mobile role requires driving between sites to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained environments for our customers.

Key duties include routine cleaning, waste disposal, and acting as a friendly first point of contact for residents. The role emphasizes COSHH and safety compliance, with a focus on timely service delivery and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing COSHH in cleaning operations.
• Familiarity with health and safety legislation and PPE usage.
• Practical experience with powered cleaning equipment and training.
• Strong time management for service efficiency.
• Proficient IT skills including email and MS Teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scheduled cleaning across communal, internal and external areas to required standards.
• Undertake routine and responsive cleaning and waste clearance, including ASB and contamination scenarios.
• Provide customer service as an Estuary ambassador and record actions for line manager.
• Remove bulk waste to designated points and investigate fly-tipping where needed.
• Record daily estate inspections and take remedial action for safety.
