Job summary

KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors. This field based Essential Skills Tutor position in South Wales is a permanent, full-time role with salary up to £27,300 depending on skills and experience.

You will deliver Essential Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) through group and 1:1 sessions, plan, assess, and mark learning activities, and contribute to quality assurance and learner records to demonstrate achievement and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Essential Skills qualifications.
• Motivate and support learners to progress.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage time.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of Essential Skills through group and 1:1 sessions.
• Plan, deliver, assess, and mark learning activities.
• Maintain quality and compliance with QA requirements.
• Maintain learner records and evidence of achievement.
• Support monitoring and achievement of performance targets.

Duties:

• Delivery of Essential Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) through group based and 1:1 sessions, ensuring all learners meet Framework requirements and enhancing employability skills.
• Plan, deliver, assess, and mark learning activities, contributing to standardisation and quality assurance processes.
• Maintain high standards of quality and compliance in line with internal and external quality assurance requirements.
• Accurately maintain learner records, documentation, and evidence of achievement, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
• Support the monitoring and achievement of individual, team, and organisational performance targets.

Essential Criteria:

• Ideally have experience of delivering Essential Skills qualifications.
• Demonstrableenergy and passion to motivate and support young learners.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
