Job summary

The Sheffield College is seeking an inspiring ESOL lecturer to join our teaching team. You will deliver high-quality ESOL across a range of modules, using engaging approaches to bring the subject to life while supporting learners to succeed.

We offer a salary of £32,740–£40,342 per annum and a pension scheme, with hybrid and flexible working opportunities, generous annual leave, health and wellbeing support, and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding teaching and learning in scheduled classes
• Prepare engaging lesson plans, resources and digital content
• Design assessments and provide timely feedback
• Support and track student progress, ensuring all learners thrive
• Contribute to curriculum development and course reviews
• Participate in internal meetings, quality processes and CPD
• Maintain accurate records and meet administrative deadlines
• Model the College’s FREDIE+ values in all interactions
• Support wider college activities, including open days, enrolment and exams
